Tamir Sheafer (Ph.D., 2002, Communication, Hebrew University) is the former Head and founding member of the Political Communication Program. Associate professor of communication and political science and Vice Dean in the School of Social Sciences. Specializes in political communication, charisma in politics, political personalization, media effects in Israeli election campaigns, political conflicts and mediated public diplomacy.

Dr. Pazit Ben-Nun Bloom | ד"ר פזית בן-נון בלום

Pazit Ben-Nun Bloom (Ph.D., 2010, Political Science, Stony Brook University) is an assistant professor in the political science department, specializing in political psychology and comparative political behavior. She studies how religiosity and moral values both hinder and enhance democratic norms, such as support for democracy, human rights, tolerance and good governance.

Dr. Gadi Taub | ד"ר גדי טאוב

Gadi Taub (Ph.D., 2003, American history, Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey) is an associate professor at the department of communication and journalism and at the Federman school of public policy. Taub worked regularly in the Israeli press as a commentator, both in print and broadcast media. Dr. Keren Tenenboim-Weinblatt | ד"ר קרן טננבוים-וויינבלט

Keren Tenenboim-Weinblatt (Ph.D., 2011, Communication, University of Pennsylvania) is Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication and Journalism. Her research focuses on cultural and political dimensions of journalism from a comparative perspective, media and conflict, mediated memory, and the intersection of journalism, political communication and popular culture.

Prof. Ifat Maoz | פרופ' יפעת מעוז

Ifat Maoz (Ph.D., 1997, Psychology, University of Haifa) is a Full Professor in the Department of Communication and Journalism, former Head of the Smart Family Institute of Communications at the Hebrew University (2008-2013), Director of the Swiss Center and Graduate Program of Conflict Studies (on Sabbatical leave 2013-14)  and holds the Danny Arnold Chair in Communication. Prof. Maoz is a social psychologist researching psychology and media in conflict and intergroup relations. Her current main interests include cognitive processing of social and political information, dynamics of intergroup encounters in conflict, perceptual moral and cognitive aspects of conflict, peace and reconciliation, audience responses, and cognitive biases in conflict.

Dr. Zohar Kampf | ד"ר זוהר קמפף

Zohar Kampf (Ph.D., 2007, Communication, Hebrew University) is Associate Professor of Language and communication and the head of the Swiss Center for Conflict Studies. His main research interest lies in the linkage among language, media and politics. He has published articles in the areas of discourse analysis, political communication, and Journalism and two books on media practices in times of conflict.

Prof. Shaul Shenhav | פרופ' שאול שנהב

Shaul Shenhav (Ph.D., 2004, Political Science, Hebrew University) is Associate Professor of political science. Since 2012, Shenhav serves as Director of the Levi Eshkol Institute for economic, social, and political research in Israel. He specializes in political discourse, narratology, language and politics, and israeli politics.
